The Willow Necklace is a paperclip chain, simple and classic. I named it after the willow tree in my grandparents' garden.
There's a photo somewhere of me and my cousins sat under that tree, probably arguing about the rules of whatever game we'd just made up. It was the centre of everything that summer. I think about it more than you'd expect for a tree, the way it just kept going, through every kind of weather, never really changing shape, always exactly where you left it.
That's the feeling I wanted this piece to hold onto. Nothing flashy, nothing that needs explaining, just something steady that settles into your day the way that tree settled into ours.
It's the kind of piece you put on without thinking and then don't take off. Timeless in the plain sense of the word, it just keeps being right.
Materials
This one's made from stainless steel, so it's genuinely fine for everyday wear. No nickel, no lead, none of the stuff that tends to irritate sensitive skin.
The gold version has an eighteen karat PVD coating. It gives that warm, polished look and it won't tarnish or leave marks on your skin, even with daily wear.
Care
To keep your piece looking its best, wipe it gently with a soft cloth after wear and avoid direct contact with perfumes, lotions, or prolonged moisture. Store it in a dry place when it is not being worn. These small habits help preserve the gentle shine and smooth finish of the piece.
